Long time no post [Mar. 2nd, 2009|12:53 pm]

It really has been a long time...
I'm working on updating my website, and once that's done I should be updating more often!
Something to look forward to (or not).

updating since forever... [Jun. 30th, 2007|02:42 pm]

I almost forgot about livejournal...
I hope everyone I know connected through 'friends' on this is doing well, keeping healthy, etc.

Updates/highlights since the last time I posted

-I'm still pursuing my undergrad degree. I'm staying a little longer to get an anthropology minor in addition to my Comm/Asian Studies/Korean. What am I going to do next? Hmmm.....

-I brought Animals to the Union in March!

-I saw Sean Lennon (+ Yuka Honda) again! Touring brought him to Buffalo for a show in mid-April. I got to watch from just a few feet away this time around.

-Speaking of bands, I got to be a runner for Spring Fest at school here and got to drive The Roots to the airport. I also got to see Jason Mraz, Guster (I got beer for them!) and Finger 11.

-One of my first cousins got engaged in May. Big wedding to come in November at the same time I get to stress about finals.

-I am currently enjoying my summer/break from classes by staying at home all day, GRE studying, dreaming, worrying about the future, being anti-social, researching for my thesis and listening to Rip Slyme.

Happy Hanukkah! [Dec. 15th, 2006|04:52 pm]

This week in general has been refreshingly great. I've been getting in touch with what I lost touch with over the past year (both people and things). I've also gained more perspective on what I'm going to do after this year (another year of undergrad work?!). I got to see Sean Lennon at the Opera House the other day. Amazing! My accompaniment said I cried. I don't recall doing so, but it is plausible. And I've been doing lots of walking. I had forgotten how much I enjoy walking...

I yelled today in the presence of others [Oct. 3rd, 2006|11:07 pm]

I finally have Friendly Fire.
Sean Lennon's album is finally out.

I found a bowling ball behind some bushes in one of the more troubled parts of Buffalo on Sunday. I was also attacked by burs.

I've given in to giving belly dancing lessons (don't ask). I might even get paid which is cool because I'm not really getting paid for my other three jobs. Real monetary payment! Not just t-shirts and pizza! There are gazillions of girls out there who want to know how to do this jig. I never realized.

My parents are leaving me to run things at home for about a month (again...) So, I have to figure home stuff into my schedule somehow. This is probably the worst time ever for them to be doing this. The only way I think this is going to work is if I leave one of my jobs in particular. The thing is that I wasn't supposed to be there as of over a month ago and I don't know how I'm going to leave. Arg.

I know I have apocalypse fever. Not.

ick for colds! [Sep. 23rd, 2006|08:17 pm]
Ashica A

I stayed at home all of Friday and slept pretty much.
Feeling a bit better today. I went to campus to get my picture taken (I'm quoted in an article that's going to be in a school publication this week!).

Dalai Lama went as expected pretty much. He had this amazing visor he wore to block the sun that matched his robes. It was so cute! I had amazing seats (second row!!!) so I could actually see what was going on too. It got cold towards the end and I was wishing I had brought long socks or an extra jacket or something.

Kinder Happy Hippo biscuits are good.

Friendly Fire is out this Tuesday!
